Parker is one of the world’s best known pen brands. It has become a synonym of the highest quality writing instruments. The founding of Parker Pen Company dates back to 1888, and in 1894, a new, better system of ink supply system has been invented. Factories were built on various continents. At the moment, the Parker brand is owned by an American concern - Sanford. In the year 2008 the brand celebrated 120 years of existence. During this time, Parker has been constantly introducing innovations and modern solutions to its reliable pens. In 1954, the first renowned Parker pen has been introduced – the Parker Jotter. The Sonnet line is also extremely popular – on the market for over 20 years.

Waterman is probably the most well-known brand of pens. Waterman means the highest quality, elegance and prestige. Waterman fountain pens first became a thing on the initiative of Lewis Edson Waterman in 1883 – he perfected the earlier ideas and constructed a fountain pen fully filled with ink. In 1904, the first clip was invented, which could be used to attach the pen to a pocket. In 1953, the first plastic cartridge has been made! From the moment the company has been established, 120 years have passed, and Waterman constantly introduces innovations and new solutions to their reliable pens. Undoubtedly, Waterman is an authority in the world of writing instruments. In the present time, the Waterman pen factory is based in France, close to Nantes.

The history of Sheaffer fountain pens starts in the year 1907 with the invention of a lever-filled fountain pen by Walter A. Sheaffer in Fort Madison (USA). Pressing of a narrow, metal lever filled the pen’s reservoir directly from the inkwell. In 1912, the inventor invested his life savings and changed his profession from a jeweler to a fountain pen manufacturer. A fountain pen factory has been established - W. A. Sheaffer Pen Company. Since 1924, Sheaffer products are signed with a special trademark, distinguishing them from the competition. The White Dot is a symbol which means excellent quality and durability. 20th century is a time where many ideas and innovative solutions have been brought to life. Each and every one of Sheaffer products remains an inspiration for current collections. For over 100 years, Sheaffer has stayed consistent and loyal to the tradition of creating the highest quality of writing instruments.

W. Cross Company is an American company manufacturing and distributing classy writing instruments, notebooks and accessories. Established in 1846 in Providence on Rhode Island. Initially, it manufactured writing instruments and pencil cases, creating the basis for later mechanical pencil designs. The company is also considered to be a forerunner of the modern ballpoint pen. The fountain pens have become a part of their offer only in the 20th century. From the very beginning, great attention was paid to elegant designs, using noble materials such as silver and gold – the founders of the Cross company had been associated with the jewelry industry for generations. At the moment, it is a thriving corporation manufacturing dozens of stationery products. Cross has been and continues to be the official supplier of pens and pens to the White House since at least 1970. The company's products are popular all over the world due to their classic style, quality and ingenuity.

The Pelikan Company has originated in Switzerland in 1838 and was originally known only as an ink manufacturer. In 1863, the famous logo – a pelican in a nest, was created. Pelikan’s history as a fountain pen manufacturer started only in the year 1929. That is when the first fountain pen of this company has been created – Pelikan 100. The product was very innovative – it was the first fountain pen in history to use a converter filling system. These are Pelikan’s hallmarks – non-replacable converter, green body and black cap with a gold plated clip in the shape of a pelican beak; up to this day, it is the company’s signature look. Currently, Pelikan is among the most known and recognised fountain pen brands, and the trademark is undoubtedly the clip in the shape of a beak of this famous bird.

Faber-Castell is one of the oldest companies continuously engaged in the production connected to the writing instruments industry. In their offer, they have a wide variety of writing, drawing and painting materials. The production started with innovative pencils, and currently the company has 14 factories placed in 10 countries. The Faber-Castell company has been in the hands of the same family for 8 generations. Faber-Castell products, as well as their pro-social and pro-ecological activities have been repeatedly appreciated and awarded with international awards.

The Faber-Castell concern is one of the largest companies in the world that cares about the natural environment. Over 80% of the wood used in the international production of pencils and crayons comes from certified FSC plantations, as well as from permanent forest farms. Introduced in 1993, Graf von Faber-Castell is based on Lothar von Faber’s idea in the 4th generation – striving to reach the highest quality. When making the products of this line, natural materials are used, along with noble metals and continuous attention to every detail.

The „Omega” fountain pen factory of M. Szaja and A. Wrocławski, opened before the war, managed by the Germans during the war and taken over by the government after the war – this is the genesis of the company that produces one of the most recognizable Polish pens. Zenith pens were designed by Polish engineers and inspired by Parker. Currently, the owner is ASTRA S.A. The assortment includes excellent quality office supplies, manufactured mainly in Poland.
